  Developers will have access to seven multitasking services, which will allow tasks to be performed in the background while preserving performance and battery life.   Organize apps into folders with drag-and-drop simplicity. Get faster access to your favorites and browse and manage up to 2160 apps at once — many more than the current limit of 180 apps.

  See messages from all your email accounts displayed together in a unified inbox, switch between inboxes more quickly, organize messages by threads, and even open attachments in third-party apps.

  iBooks

  The best way to browse, buy, and read books on a mobile device. Easily flip through the pages of a book you’ve downloaded from the iBookstore while listening to your music collection. Browse tens of thousands of books — many of them free — by title, author, or genre. You can even check out reviews and read sample pages before you buy.

• iPhone OS 4 Compatibility

  iPhone OS 4 will work with iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, and the second- and third-generation iPod touch this summer, and with iPad in the fall. Not all features are compatible with all devices. For example, multitasking is available only with iPhone 3GS and the third-generation iPod touch (32GB and 64GB models from late 2009).

iPhone 3G 2.2 Software Unlocked!

还是要佩服一下 iPhone Dev Team，这次软解虽然花了4个多月，不过最终让我摆脱了万恶的卡贴（嘿嘿，说句老实话，这GEVEY的卡贴，除了太耗电，偶尔掉掉信号，和开飞行模式关闭不能找回信号之外，没啥大问题）。Dev Team 1月1日放出了软解程序 Yellowsn0w，观望了一个星期，终于决定在上周六陪俺丫头熬夜之前搞定软解！以下步骤可以基本确保成功，仍然跑2.2 Firmware + 2.1基带的各位不要再犹豫了！！

1. 准备工作。
iPhone 3G 官方固件 2.2 版本：2.2 固件官方下载地址
iTunes 8：iTunes 8 下载地址
QuickPwn（用于iPhone 3G 越狱）：QuickPwn for 2.2 迅雷下载地址 

2. 取出SIM卡，用2.2版本固件恢复iPhone 3G。
将iPhone 3G连接到计算机，运行iTunes，按住 Shift 单击“恢复”按钮，定位下载好的2.2版本官方固件。之后iPhone 3G会自动进行恢复操作。

3. 用QuickPwn进行越狱（Jailbreak）操作。
恢复完成后，iPhone会进入锁定状态，只能进行紧急通话。此时运行QuickPwn，按照提示操作即可。注意进入DFU模式的方法为：
1）等待iphone进入恢复模式；
2）按住Home键5秒钟；
3）保持按住Home键，同时按下顶上的关机键，两键同按保持10秒；
4）松开关机键，继续按住Home键保持30秒（实际只需要保持17秒左右）
之后QuickPwn会开始进行越狱操作，等待5分钟，即可完成越狱，iPhone 3G会重新启动。

4. 使用Yellowsn0w软破解iPhone 3G网络锁，使之可以使用中国移动或联通网络（美版为锁定为at&t）。
1）上一步越狱完成后，iPhone 3G重启会直接进入SpringBoard。此时连接至Wi-Fi，启动Cydia。
2）Cydia 会提示若干重要更新，更新之。
3）Cydia 更新完成后，重启Cydia，进入 Manage > Source > Edit > Add，加入Cydia源 http://apt9.yellowsn0w.com，以获得Yellowsn0w。
 

4）源更新完毕后，进入该源，下载安装Yellowsn0w （目前最新版本0.96）。

5. 最后一步！！！！激动人心的时刻到来，将iPhone 3G关机，插入SIM卡，重开机。看到了什么？找到中国移动信号，比用卡贴时快了许多！
 

软解与卡贴相比：

1. iPhone 3G耗电量明显降低，电池续航能力提升。
2. 开机搜寻信号更快。
3. 开启飞行模式再关闭，信号能迅速找回。
4. 不用开启数据漫游即可使用GPRS访问互联网。
5. SIM应用程序可显示并正常运行。
